This book has no on page spice, but don't let that fool you into thinking that it isn't deliciously swoony! I'm definitely going to be reading more of this book in the future!. The remainder of the book shows how the protagonist gets to know her new husband's people, about whom she has only the vaguest ideas beforehand. I read this in a single day, and this book did NOT disappoint! I wasn't sure I was going to like Fitz at first (he showed a few red flag tendencies that are not my favorite), but luckily he redeemed himself and the romance turned very lovely and sweet, even with all the ghosts and necromancy and stuff that I normally don't read (but ended up loving how it was handled in this book!). Unlike that book, this one has a clean, ennobling feel it not only satisfies with a happy ending (mostly), but makes the imagination aspire to something better. And, boy, did it deliver!
